State Land & Infrastructure
The State Land and Infrastructure team works with public entities, developers and other partners to increase Utah's supply of affordable and starter homes by reducing two major barriers to housing development: land and infrastructure costs.
Our programs use state-owned property, infrastructure funding and public-private partnerships to help communities and developers move housing projects from concept to construction.
State Land
State-owned properties may provide opportunities for housing development through partnerships with qualified developers and public entities. These programs seek to put underutilized state property to productive use while increasing Utah's supply of affordable and starter homes.
Infrastructure
State infrastructure programs provide funding to eligible public entities for infrastructure improvements that support the development of affordable and starter homes. Eligible projects may include transportation, water, sewer and other infrastructure necessary to enable housing development.
Explore State Land Opportunities
The State of Utah is working to put suitable state-owned property to productive use by creating opportunities for affordable and starter home development. Through the State Land program, available state-owned properties may be offered for housing development in partnership with qualified developers, local governments and other public entities. Projects are intended to increase Utah's housing supply while making efficient use of public land and supporting state and local housing goals.
