Infrastructure

Explore Infrastructure Programs

Infrastructure costs can be a significant barrier to the development of affordable and starter homes. Utah's housing infrastructure programs provide financial resources to help eligible projects overcome these barriers and accelerate housing construction.

Programs may support infrastructure necessary for housing development, including transportation, water, sewer and other eligible public infrastructure.

Affordable Housing Infrastructure Grant

The Affordable Housing Infrastructure Grant provides funding to qualified public entities for eligible infrastructure projects that support the development of owner-occupied affordable housing.

Funding is intended to reduce infrastructure costs, enable housing development and increase the number of affordable homes available to Utah households.

State Housing Infrastructure Program

The State Housing Infrastructure Program provides low-interest infrastructure financing to support housing development. The program is designed to help communities and development partners finance infrastructure needed to move housing projects forward and increase the supply of starter homes.

Find the Right Program

Program eligibility, eligible infrastructure costs, funding requirements and application processes vary by program. Public entities and development partners should review the individual program requirements to determine which funding opportunity best fits their proposed project.
