Overview
In 2013, the Community Development Office was established as a resource for rural Utah. With funding from the Permanent Community Impact Fund Board, our office supports regional planning professionals, facilitates communication and coordination between stakeholders, and creates and delivers training, tools, and informational resources.

The Community Development Office works closely with Regional Planners in each Association of Government region in order to provide direct assistance to communities.

Regional Planning Program
The core mission of the Permanent Community Impact Fund Board (CIB) is to alleviate socio-economic impacts resulting from natural resource development on federal lands.
Through the proposed program, the CIB will provide stability for continuous quality planning throughout rural Utah.
Provide funds for participating regional Associations of Governments (AOGs) to commit a full-time planner whose time and responsibilities will be dedicated solely to the CIB's core mission and goals.
The program seeks to establish a five-year program to implement the general goals of the CIB in each of the following five planning regions:
- Bear River
- Five County
- Six County
- Southeastern Utah
- Uintah Basin
